This berry smoothie will have you feeling fantastic in no time!
Berries are packed full of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants, as well as flavonoids (which give them their bright colours). Blueberries tend to get the biggest rapt as they contain the highest amount of antioxidants compared to the other berries, as well as being lower in fructose. This ‘Thriving Berry Smoothie’ combines the healing power of berries with that of kale, spinach and chia seeds to make this one mighty powerful smoothie which will help protect our memories, slow down cancer growth and reduce the risk of other disease. Plus it tastes incredible!
(Makes about 1 litre)
- 1 cup blueberries (frozen no worries)
- ½ lemon peeled
- 4 kale leaves stems removed
- 2 cups water
- 1 handful of spinach
- 2 tbs of chia seeds
- Blend in a high speed blender until smooth and creamy
